We build the system,
then we own the outcome.
Anewk is a Johannesburg engineering and asset management practice. We close two gaps at once: organisations that hold data they cannot secure or exploit, and founders in regulated sectors who need bank-grade platforms but cannot fund enterprise consultancies.
Seven years of security-critical delivery, turned into a practice that keeps what it builds.
Anewk was founded on a simple observation from inside banking, mining, and financial services: the organisations with the most valuable data were the least able to secure and exploit it, and the founders with the best ideas in regulated sectors could never afford the engineering their platforms demanded.
Enterprise consultancies bill by the hour and disappear at hand-off. Anewk was built to do the opposite — to engineer a system to production standard, make its data work, and then own and manage what that system produces. The method is proven on our own assets before a client ever pays for it.

Kwena Motsumi Mokgohlwa
Managing member and lead engineer. Delivers cloud, software, and data engineering to the assurance standard demanded by regulated banking — and carries that standard into every Anewk mandate.
Four rules that hold the practice together.
One practice, not a hand-off chain
The engineer who architects the system is accountable for the data it produces and the asset it becomes. Nothing is thrown over a wall to a separate integrator, analyst, or operator.
Bank-grade by default
Security-critical delivery — encryption, assurance, and auditability — is the baseline, not an upgrade. The standard set for regulated banking clients is the standard applied everywhere.
Skin in the game
Where a founder cannot fund enterprise engineering, we take equity and a management mandate instead of a fee. We only win when the asset we build keeps producing.
Risk isolated from ownership
Delivery, intellectual property, and managed assets sit in separate entities. A failure in one cannot cascade into the value held in another.
Delivered where failure is not an option.
